E-books can be downloaded and read using a Kindle Fire with the free Bluefire Reader app.
You will need the following:
Please note: You will only need to install BlueFire and create an Adobe Digital Editions ID once. After this has been done, you will only need to tap Download any time you wish to download and read an eBook on your device.
Install Bluefire Reader App
Using the Kindle Fire’s web browser go to the following URL and follow the steps to download and install the BlueFire Reader for Android on the Kindle Fire. http://tinyurl.com/kindlebluefire
Note: You will need to enable your device to allow installation of third party apps from the Settings menu before downloading and installing the Bluefire app.
Create an Adobe ID
Create an Adobe Digital Editions ID at the following link:

Authorize Bluefire App with your Adobe ID
Before you download an e-book to Bluefire, you must authorize the app with your Adobe Digital Editions ID.
To Authorize the App:
Open the Bluefire app from your Kindle Fire's applications menu.
Enter your Adobe ID and password in the fields provided.
Tap Authorize. (Your device is now authorized to read EBSCO eBooks)
Checkout and Download an eBook
Next, locate an e-book you wish to download to your device and use the following steps to download it.
To download an eBook:
Use your Kindle Fire's web browser to run a search on EBSCOhost or EBSCOhost Mobile and tap an eBook image in the result list for the e-book you would like to download.
The detailed record is displayed.
Tap the Download (Offline) link for the e-book you would like to download.
If you are not logged into your personal My EBSCOhost folder, you are prompted to do so.
Select a Checkout period from the drop-down menu and tap the Checkout & Download button.
The e-book is added to the Checkout area of your My EBSCOhost folder and begins to download to your device.
Bluefire should automatically open and prompt you to view your library or begin reading the e-book.
You may now begin reading the e-book on your Kindle.
Note:
After your e-book checkout expires, the e-book file is still be on your device but can not be opened. You must remove the file manually by opening Bluefire and selecting to remove it from your library.
Adobe Digital Editions is the off-line software reader that allows you to download and read any PDF e-books that are available.
Only the PDF versions of e-books will work with the off-line reader. Only EBSCOhost and Ebook Central will work with Adobe Digital Editions.
The checkout period for downloaded eBooks on EBSCOhost and Ebook Central e-books is 7 days – the file will not open after 7 days and the e-book will be "returned" to the collection for others to access. You have the option to select a shorter checkout time.

Here is an overview of the steps for using your Nook to read eBooks from EBSCOhost.
NOTE: On your Nook you will find the EBSCOhost eBook under my files in the library then in the Digital Editions subfolder.
NOTE: You only have to install ADE once - if you download another e-book in the future you just have to login to ADE
