The Academic Resource Center (ARC) is the place to go when you want to get tutorial support, do research, study, do group work, or just relax! The main area of the ARC can get a little noisy. Individual study carrels are arranged around the perimeter of the center to give students a space to study by themselves. In addition, the ARC has four group study rooms, all of which are equipped with multimedia for students practicing classroom presentations. The ARC has 78 total computers stationed for student use (common area , computer lab , math lab , and writing lab ). All computers require a Baker login; ask ARC staff for assistance if you do not have one. Our department is also equipped with two black and white multi-function printers and two full-color multi-function printers, all of which are able to print, copy, and scan. Additionally, we have Kurzweil 3000 Text-to-Speech software, JAWS and NVDA Screen-reading software available for students with documented accommodations. Computers are to be used for course-related purposes only. Those using the computers for other purposes may be asked to move if the computer is needed.
