What is a Nook?
A Nook is a portable electronic reading device used to read electronic versions of books (eBooks).
Who can check a Nook out?
Students, faculty and staff can check out a Nook. Students must be currently enrolled in classes.
How long can Nooks be checked out for?
Nooks can be checked out for two weeks with one renewal.
Where do I pick-up/return the Nook?
Nooks can be picked up at your campus library at the circulation desk and they must be dropped off there as well. Do Not place the Nook in the bookdrop! It will get damaged.
What if I return the Nook late or the Nook is damaged or stolen?
The fines for returning a Nook late is $5.00 a day. If the Nook is damaged, lost or stolen you will be charged a replacement fee for the Nook and a separate fee for whatever accessories were damaged, lost or stolen as well.
What books are on the Nooks?
Each campus has a separate collection of titles on their Nooks. To find out what your campus has on their Nooks click on your campus in the Want a Nook box.
What if the book I want to read isn't on the Nook?
You can always suggest a title for the Nook by contacting your Campus Library/ARC.
Can I add or delete books on the Nook?
No at this time you may not add your own books onto the Nook and you CANNOT DELETE books on the Nook.
