What is Information Literacy?
Information Literacy is the ability "to recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information" (American Library Association, 1989).
Information Literacy is a skill set that you will continue to develop over your lifetime, but is particularly important to successfully conducting college level research.
