Welcome to the Owosso Academic Resource Center!


Need help finding resources, writing a paper, or preparing a presentation?

The Owosso Academic Resource Center (ARC) offers a variety of materials to support students through the entire learning process. With access to over 30,000 print titles, 25,000 e-books, and 100 article databases, our stafff can help you find a wealth of information on a variety of topics.

Whether you prefer to study from home with our online resources or in the ARC, we have you covered. The ARC offers students 59 computer stations, accessible with your Baker login, as well as scanners and printing. For students with laptop computers the Academic Resource Center also provides wireless internet service, allowing you to study from anywhere in the building - including our comfortable couches and airchairs.

The ARC houses journals, magazines, and our career study materials. We also offer two group study rooms, available with a reservation.


Writing and Math Center

The Writing Center and Math Center are located in the Academic Resource Center.  Students may seek assistance with writing assignments and math assignments on a drop-in basis. The Centers are staffed by experienced instructors and/or tutors. The hours for the Centers are Monday through Thursday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. (Monday through Wednesday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm during Summer Quarter). Outside of these times students may schedule indiivdual appointments with tutors during regular tutor hours.


Tutoring and Learning Services

The Academic Resource Center offers tutoring, Monday through Saturday in the Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters, and Monday through Friday during Summer Quarter. Tutoring begins on the first Wednesday of the Quarter and appointments can either be made at the Circulation Desk, or over the phone at (989) 729-3370. Students are eligible for two hours, per subject, per week, with appointments available in one hour blocks.
