Adobe Digital Editions is the off-line software reader that allows you to download and read any PDF e-books that are available.

Only the PDF versions of e-books will work with the off-line reader.  Only EBSCOhost and Ebook Central will work with Adobe Digital Editions. 

The checkout period for downloaded eBooks on EBSCOhost and Ebook Central e-books is 7 days – the file will not open after 7 days and the e-book will be "returned" to the collection for others to access.  You have the option to select a shorter checkout time.

To use Adobe Digital Editions with eBooks:

1. Create an Adobe Account  if you don't already have one (you will need your Adobe ID in step 3.
2. Creating an account is free and only takes a minute.
3. Install Adobe Digital Editions on your computer.
4. When using Adobe Digital Editions for the first time, you will be prompted to enter your Adobe ID created in step 1.
