* For works from academic research databases (without DOIs), the APA 7th edition Publication Manual states, "Do not include a URL or database information in the reference since these works are widely available" (APA, 2019, p. 299). However, be sure to ask the assigning instructor if a URL or database name is required for Baker College database entries.
* ** The correct article URL may not be the one that appears in your browser's address bar. Use this guide to find out where to find the proper URLs.
If you are using a database not listed, try the URL in the address bar. If it doesn't work, at least you have the rest of the article information to find it again!

Did you ever want to share a specific source from a library database with your students but you weren't sure how?
Use this guide to find out where to get the URLs that you can share with students. (It is often not the URL that appears in your browser's address bar.)
When students click on these links, they use their Library Number (on their Baker ID or User Account page in MyBaker).
If you are using a database not listed, try the URL in the address bar.
